Privacy Policy
How We See LLC is a one-person product development consultancy run by Howie Seay. This page covers two separate things: what this website does with your information, and what the software built under this name does with Google account data. Last updated September 18, 2026.
01 / This website
Page counts, and nothing else
thisishowwesee.com is a set of static pages. It runs Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views so I can see which pages people actually read. That measurement is cookieless. It records the page path, the referring site, a coarse device and browser type, and a country. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser, and creates no identifier that follows you between sites or across days.
There is no advertising network here, no tracking pixel, and no profile of you anywhere in it.
The site is hosted on Vercel, and like every web host, Vercel records standard server logs containing IP addresses, timestamps and requested URLs. Those logs exist to keep the service running and to stop abuse. Vercel's privacy policy governs them. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request for the font file.
If you email me, I keep the email. I do not add correspondents to a mailing list, and I do not sell, rent or share contact details with anyone.
02 / Software and Google account data
Private tools, one user
Some software built under the How We See name signs in with Google and reads Google account data. Seay Mail MCP is one such application. These are private tools that Howie Seay runs on his own computer, against his own Google accounts. They are not products, they are not offered to the public, and they have no other users.
These applications may request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Tasks, Google Contacts, Google Chat and Google Apps Script. Access tokens and any retrieved content stay on the local machine. Nothing is copied to a server operated by How We See LLC, because there is no such server. Nothing is transmitted to a third party, used for advertising, sold, or used to train a machine learning model.
Access can be withdrawn at any time from the Google account permissions page, which revokes the tokens immediately.
Retention
Tokens live in a credentials file on one laptop and are deleted when the tool is removed or access is revoked. No copy exists anywhere else.
03 / Consulting work
Client material
Consulting engagements often involve confidential technical and commercial information. That material is handled under whatever agreement governs the engagement, and the terms of that agreement take priority over this page. Client information is never used to train a machine learning model and is never shared with another client.
